PNP-HPG Issued Tickets to six Police Officials at HQ

In a surprise check the PNP Highway Group (HPG) issued tickets to six police officials over the traffic violations. The vehicles were inspected inside the HQ in Quezon City. In the comprehensive inspection campaign, the HPG officials inspected over 500 motorbikes and more than 300 other vehicles.
According to the official spokesperson, “Failure to provide the vehicles’ registration certificate and official receipt were the most common violations against which the tickets were issued to the officials.” He further added that other violations included the use of improper insignias on private vehicles and motorcycles.
Other units of the PNP also participated with the PNP Highway Group to conduct this vehicle inspection. The main purpose of this inspection was to ensure compliance with transportation and traffic regulations, i.e., Act No. 4136.
This is really a good gesture and shows the professionalism of the PNP and the HPG that they inspected the officials’ vehicles on a large scale and even issued tickets to the police officials. This action will ensure that the general public strictly follows the traffic rules and complies with the regulations.
